Marwyn Investment Management has appointed Glynn Thomas to the role of sector acquisitions specialist.

Mr Thomas comes to the firm to lead acquisitions in the support services sector.

Managing partner at Marwyn, Mark Watts, said that Mr Thomas brings with him a level of experience that is "vital" to the company's ongoing development.

"Marwyn is a hands-on investor that creates value by providing the management of its quoted portfolio companies with the highest level of operational and advisory support," he said.

Mr Thomas leaves the position of group corporate development director for the corporate head office at VT Group to take up the new role with Marwyn.

Before joining VT, Mr Thomas held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he qualified as a chartered accountant, Marks & Spencer and KPMG Corporate Finance.

Marwyn claims to use its position as a hands-on investor to offer management with advisory and operational support.

Since 2006, the company has raised around £1.3 billion in acquisition funding through the completion of 72 transactions.
