GMT Communications Partners, which focuses solely on private equity investments in the communications sector, has confirmed two new promotions within the senior team.
Natalie Tydeman, who has worked at the company since 2007, has been promoted from the position of senior advisor to partner, while Vikram Krishna moves from a role as senior associate to principal.
Managing partner at the private equity company Jeff Montgomery said: "We are delighted with Natalie and Vikram's promotions, which are a reflection of their commitment and expertise, and are both highly deserved."
He added that although the private equity sector as a whole has been quite of late, opportunities for investment do still exist, particularly within the European communications sector.
Mr Montgomery said the company continues to focus on high growth companies that can build a protected market position.
Further to this, the company could create more private equity jobs as the year progresses, he suggested.
GMT Communications Partners launched in 1993 and has since then made a total of 28 investments in 18 countries.
VC Jobs is the sector's dedicated site for private equity news and private equity jobs, covering all functions within the firms from analyst and associate to partner and MD.
