Law firm Herbert Smith has confirmed the appointment of James MacArthur to its growing private equity practice.
The corporate lawyer has a growing reputation in the private equity sector, Herbert Smith says, adding that the recruit has in recent years established a strong base of private equity experience.
Head of the private equity practice Gavin Davies said: "James brings with him a wealth of private equity experience, energy and ambition to help further develop our private equity practice. We are delighted to welcome James back to Herbert Smith where he began his career."
Mr Davies added that the law firms views private equity clients as an important part of the corporate and finance business in the future.
